BBC Radio Lancashire is to launch a new lunchtime programme as part of a wider shake-up of its programme schedule.
Ladies Do Lunch, hosted by Sally Naden and Carole Turner, will have a live studio audience and a panel of "lively Lancashire ladies". The show launches on January 21, at which point John Gillmore will take over the 1pm to 4pm afternoon slot and Brett Davison will host drivetime between 4pm and 6pm.
The station also plans to boost its sport output, and will reintroduce a Saturday night phone-in between 6pm and 7pm "due to audience demand".
BBC Radio Lancashire managing editor John Clayton said: "The team here at BBC Radio Lancashire already make excellent programming which is reflected in the loyalty of our listeners.
"These schedule changes put us in the best position possible to not only retain our regular listeners but also add new ones with lively, well-placed and engaging programmes that sound fresh and are relevant to our audience."
