The full annual ceremony was cancelled because of the Writers Guild of America strike. Winners will now be announced in an hour-long press conference.
Sky has therefore cancelled its plan to show red carpet footage and a two-hour highlights show on Sky One, and the live ceremony in full on Sky Movies Premiere.
Sky News will air the press conference but it could be replaced depending on breaking news.
A spokesman explained: "Due to the cancellation of the 65th annual Golden Globe Awards ceremony, Sky will no longer be showing live coverage of the event on Sky Movies or coverage of the red carpet and next day highlights on Sky One this year.
"Sky viewers will be able to watch coverage of the press conference announcing the winners on Sky News. We look forward to broadcasting next year's Golden Globes ceremony on Sky."
