Disney-ABC grabs Fremantle drama chief

Disney-ABC International Television has hired Fremantle Media's executive vice president of worldwide drama.
Naomi Joseph will become its executive director of format development for Europe, the Middle East and Africa after 13 years at Fremantle.
Her new role will see her develop overseas versions of Disney-ABC's reality, entertainment and scripted shows. In her former position she oversaw local versions of titles including Neighbours.
Joseph said: "I'm thrilled to be joining Disney-ABC International Television, and look forward to working with international partners to explore the exciting opportunities for its rich portfolio."
She will report to Maria Kyriacou, vice president of the firm's portfolio development group, who said of the appointment: "It's fantastic to be bringing into the team Naomi's wealth of experience working on major format productions."
