Ofcom has advertised a new DAB digital radio multiplex licence for Somerset.
The area covered by the multiplex has an adult population of approximately 480,000. Space on the service would be reserved for BBC Somerset's local radio station, which became the last BBC local radio service to begin FM broadcasts in December.
Applications for the twelve year licence must be submitted by April 23.
