ITV's director of corporate affairs Jim Godfrey is to leave in March after three years in the role.
The former Labour adviser plans to set up his own PR firm specialising in political campaigning and brands, which will first work with ITV.
Ruth Settle, currently director of communications for channels and commercial, will now also take over Godfrey's role, according to reports.
It comes as Mark Gallagher, who recently took over as ITV group corporate affairs director, plans a reorganisation of its communications and corporate affairs.
He reportedly wants to increase its lobbying and tackle problems with the broadcaster's image.
