9 million tune in for 'I'm a Celebrity'

The programme, which features the likes of Jason Donovan, Myleene Klass, Jan Leeming and Faith Brown taking part in bush-trials in the Australian rainforest, managed to attract 47% of the much sought after 16- to 34-year-olds watching at the time.
Celebrity was boosted in its slot following Coronation Street at 8.30pm, which attracted 10.8 million viewers and a share of 48.5%.
However, the ratings for the first show are down on the last series, which opened with 9.4 million viewers and a 37.9% share.
Showing over three weeks, ITV is streaming all ITV1 I'm a Celebrity content on mobile phones, and selected content online.
ITV1 beat off BBC One and the final episode of Spooks, which only managed 6.1 million viewers and a 25% share, though the Celebrity audience dipped to 7.6 million towards the end of its 90-min slot at 10.15pm.
