'X Factor' ratings top previous final

ITV proved it still has the X Factor by pulling in 10.4 million viewers for the talent show's climax on Saturday night, 1.2 million more than the previous final.
The results show, which saw pizza waitress Leona Lewis crowned the winner, managed a 44.1% audience share at 9.30pm, peaking at 11.9 million and a 53.5% share in the final 15 minutes.
The main show at 7pm brought in 10.2 million and a 44.9% share, peaking with 10.9 million at 7.45pm.
The entire series has averaged 7.8 million, with a 36.9% audience share for the main show, with the results programme averaging 8 million and a 34.5% share. Last year the series managed an average of 8.5 million and a 39% share.
BBC One's Strictly Come Dancing managed 7.2 million and a 29.7% audience share for its results show at 9.25pm, which saw former Spice Girl Emma Bunton voted out at the semi-final stage.
