Over 11m viewers watch 'Strictly' final

The first live show of the two-part final, which started at 5:50pm, averaged 10.9m viewers and a 47% audience share. It hit a peak of 12.1m viewers, with a whopping 49.8% share, at 7pm.
The second live show, in which Alesha Dixon and her professional dance partner Matthew Cutler won the coveted Strictly trophy, averaged 11.4m viewers from 9:25pm. It peaked at 11.6m viewers just before 10pm.
With BBC One having locked up close to half the audience for the evening, ITV1's Peter Pan movie averaged just under 3m viewers. An Audience with Celine Dion, which went up against the Strictly results show, pulled in a similar number; however, the channel moved ahead of Match of the Day later in the evening, with a Parkinson retrospective averaging 5.6m viewers to BBC One's 4.4m.
