E4 has beaten ITV2 and Five to clinch the rights to 90210, it was confirmed today.
Seven episodes of The CW's teen spinoff from the original Beverly Hills 90210 series have aired in the US so far, pulling in respectable ratings for the network.
Channel 4's director of acquisitions Jeff Ford said: "90210 is one of the hottest series to come out of the US right now, and we are thrilled that E4 and Channel 4 will be its UK home."
The show, which features appearances by original series alumni Shannen Doherty and Jennie Garth will make its UK debut on E4 next year.
"We’re thrilled to partner with Channel 4 to be able to introduce UK audiences to 90210," said Armando Nuñez Jr., president of CBS Paramount International Television. "The legacy of the 90210 franchise has excited fans everywhere, making this the hottest new show sought after by broadcasters worldwide."
In September, The CW picked up the series for a full season.
