BBC confirms 'Casualty' move

The BBC has confirmed that Casualty will leave its Bristol production base to join the corporation's expanding drama base in Cardiff.
The decision to relocate the long-running medical drama comes as part of BBC vision director Jana Bennett's plan for "a radical shift in the whole set up of broadcasting" that will result in more productions heading out of London and others - including Casualty - moving outside England.
The move was announced in October but was subject to funding approval that has now been granted.
In a statement, the BBC said: "We have previously said that, as part of the Network Supply Strategy, moving Casualty will play a significant part in fulfilling our commitment to building a creatively sustainable centre of excellence for drama in Wales and, more broadly, it will accelerate the development of the creative sector there."
