Soon-to-be ITV director Dawn Airey is to make a dream appearance on Coronation Street.
Airey, former Sky Networks managing director, soon to be ITV's director of global content, had the treat organised in a Edinburgh Festival special of Jim'll Fix It.
And, according to The Guardian's Media Monkey diary, she will hit screens in the September 9 episode - as a woman leaving the supermarket carrying two toilet rolls.
The diary notes: "Airey was less than impressed when she arrived on set at having to dump her Prada bag ("this season's") in favour of a Freshco's carrier bag, but the designer label just wouldn't have looked right in Weatherfield.
"Her performance showed just how difficult it is to act walking in a straight line."
