As part of the programming deal with Warner Bros. International Television Distribution, NBCU has also nabbed Human Target and Eastwick, which were picked up in the US by Fox and ABC respectively.
The package consists of 18 hour-long episodes of the Elizabeth Mitchell-fronted V; 13 hours of Human Target, which stars Fringe's Mark Valley; and 13 hour-long instalments of comedic drama Eastwick.
Additionally, the broadcaster has secured the ongoing pay TV rights to Smallville - from season one - which will air on Sci Fi alongside V and Target, while Eastwick is heading to the Hallmark Channel.
NBCU's Laurence Dawkin-Jones said of the deal: "This important deal is evidence of a step change in our investment in new content. These are some of the most talked about shows to come out of the LA screenings this year and are a perfect fit with our channels."
Over the past year, Sci Fi has acquired rights to Warehouse 13, Knight Rider, and the first and second seasons of Joss Whedon's Dollhouse.
