Sorry to say but a shockingly unfunny film. Me and my partner walked out after half an hour. Unbelievably unfunny!

Basically, if you've seen the trailer - you've seen all the funniest bits from the movie. And that's not saying much. Dreadful !

We went to see it last weekend. Thinking it was gonna be ace and funny. Started off great then went into the Signs scene thinking it was the start of a funny film. Unfortunatly it was the last time we laughed. It got worse. Infact that bad we fell asleep! Just hope the next one will be better like 1 and 2!

Its a fantastic film, very funny but lives up to its name at the end!

i thought that this film was absolutly nothing compared to the second one. It wasn't that good at all it was also very short. The second scary movie was the best one so far now don't get me wrong i do want the scary movie films to go on and become more funny and interesting but try to make them a bit longer. I look forward to seeing more of scary movie in the not to distant future

I actually liked Scary Movie III. It wasn't the best film, but the gags were funny and it was an all round laugh. If you didn't laugh at Brenda's death/funeral or the Michael Jacko bits, then you must have been seeing a different film to me! 6/10 overall.

A rubbish film. I was disgusted at the tasteless Priest Peadophile 'joke'. It seemed like they were trying to drag out something that was originally good but has now turned sour... 4/10

I admittedly am a fan of the first two Scary Movies, so naturally I was expecting big things from the third instalment. Let's be brutally honest here, anyone who said this film was good seriously must have been watching a different film to the one I saw. Now I know that these films are spoofs, but this film just is not good. I suppose there are some good jokes, but the others are either just plain unfunny, over-the-top (*cough*funeral scene*cough*) or just dumb. Anna Browne said: "It's just stupid fun, it's not MEANT to be good, in the traditional sense at least. It's just meant to be gross-out fun which I certainly think it is." I totally disagree. This film was supposed to be good, it was supposed to be good, stupid, gross-out fun. They got the stupid part head on there (and the gross-out part, but a little too much at times), but the good fun part? Yes, it was fun and I do love Anna Faris, but I just couldn't call this film good fun. If you are a fan of the series, then by all means go to see this mvoie if only to compare it to the first two. That's what I did and I realised: What was the one vital thing that the first two movies had but that the last one didn't? Of course, it's the Wayan brothers. Without them on board (the absence of the characters Shorty and Ray particularly took from the film) to write and star in the films, really is Scary Movie 3 just one, drawn-out bad joke?

After all the hype about Scary Movie 3, I was very disappointed when I saw it at the cinema yesterday. My friends and I are fans of 1 & 2, so we were really looking forward to 3, but sadly the writers (if you can call them that) seem to have lost the plot and have forgotten that the whole film was supposed to be funny, not only just a couple of sketches. Scary Movie 3 has little to no story or imagination, which would have been ok if the humour was there to keep you amused, but it just isn't. Which means that all you're left with is lots of tired sketches stuck together that were so badly acted and mostly humourless that you don't know when you are supposed to laugh (the theatre was silent for most of the film). The priest joke was just sick and pathetic, and the Michael Jackson joke wasn't much better. What a shame that, with only a little effort and some good jokes, we could have been watching a very funny film, instead we were just left feeling empty and wishing we hadn't wasted the money. If you still want to see this poor excuse for a comedy film, then wait until it comes to Video or DVD, so you can fast forward it, that way you may get some laughs out of it, but sadly not much!!!

I just found a lot of the jokes distasteful. I'm 19, and that was the kind of age of everyone in the cinema, and I was glad that during the racist jokes, and jokes about the disabled, and kids getting run over, that people were just more disgusted than amused. Really not worth it. I can't believe this is entertainment.

This film is absolutely terrible... I went to see it yesterday and was really looking forward to it. The first 2 films were hilarious but this third film is shocking. There were very few laughs and too many seen-before gags which were just boring. You may as well go and see it if you saw the others, but you will be very disappointed. 0/10
anna browne on January 29th, 2004
It's just stupid fun, it's not MEANT to be good, in the traditional sense at least. It's just meant to be gross-out fun which I certainly think it is. You shouldn't see it if you want to see a well-made, even slightly intellectual or particularly well acted film but if you want to have a laugh at crude gross out jokes and predictable (but funny) piss takes then this is certainly one for you.

I thought that Scary Movie 3 was one of the funniest films of recent years. David Zucker and Leslie Neilson are genius!! I hope that SM4 will be just as funny! 9/10
chris s on January 27th, 2004
It's brilliant! The best film of 04 so far. Michael Jackson jokes are ace, but the best scene is the rap battle.
Ross McClymont on January 26th, 2004
I've only seen Scary Movie 1 so far, but from that, and the adverts for Scary Movie 3 - I'd say it looks hilarious! Usually in the adverts they take the only funny part of the film and shove it in there, but there's so many adverts for SM3, there must be a lot of funny bits in it - just like the first one. I'd say to do what I'm gonna do - go to the cinema and see it ASAP!!!

I think that Scary Movie 3 is the worse out of the three! It was meant to be even better then the first two, but it didn't even make my 10year old brother laugh one bit. I even fell sleep half way through it! I think that this film is a definite one to avoid! I would rather sit throught a whole day of Bob The Builder than watch this movie again! i would give the film about 2/10 and that's just because i'm in a good mood!
Beermatt1981 on January 26th, 2004
Not as good as the first two but still worth watching the once if you get the chance. Some quite funny moments (loved the bit with aliens that pee through their fingers), but it hardly has any of the original cast and doesn't live up to the hype.
Paul Hadley on January 26th, 2004
I saw the film at the weekend, and I thought it was one of the better films out of the three in the series. There are plenty of stars in the film (Leslie Nielson and Pamela Anderson). The take-offs of films like The Ring and Signs are hilarious (especially if you have seen the original films). Anyone who says Scary Movie 3 is poor, they are wrong. It is childish humour, but that is what makes it a fun film to watch (and easy to understand). The film doesn't have a heavy storyline, just 1 hour and 20 minutes of genius comedy sketches string together, which make the film excellent. Simon Cowell's cameo in the 8 Mile take-off is excellent. The gay black rapper is hilarious. Go and see this film... now. I give Scary Movie 3 8/10. I recommend that 16-25 years olds go to see the film.
Adrian3221 on January 26th, 2004
Terrible movie. If you liked the first two movies, dont go and see this one as you will be very disappointed. The Wayans brothers are sadly gone and for some reason they've got David Zucker (Airplane) in to direct. They've also roped in tired old veterans Leslie Nielsen and Charlie Sheen who do the same old jokes they were doing in Naked Gun/Airplane/Hot Shots. The slapstick is overdone and becomes very tiresome. Really poor movie. BRING BACK THE WAYANS BROTHERS!!!!!

Having heard bad things about the film beforehand, I was surprised when I saw Scary Movie 3. The movie is a huge improvement on its predecessor and fans of the first two will definitely enjoy the third. Where Scary Movie is mainly based on Scream, Scary Movie 2 on The Haunting, Scary Movie 3 takes it's main theme from The Ring. Those who haven't seen The Ring, don't worry, I haven't seen it either but enjoyed this film and there were plenty of other gags throughout to keep me happy. If you've seen the first two then definitely go and see this one. 8/10

Absolutely awful. I've seen funnier autopsies. This film is dire beyond belief, even by the low standards of every other film in the same category. I'll admit that to some extent I did enjoy the first Scary Movie as well as other crude comedies such as the American Pie trilogy, so my judgement is not based on a general disliking of this style of "comedy." The jokes are old and predictable, the script is pathetic and the acting retarded. The only resonably funny "jokes" are shown in the adverts, so if you've seen them you don't need to waste your time seeing this film. I left the cinema feeling as if I'd just been mugged. If you're thinking about seeing this film, please don't, and instead, use the money you'll save to phone your mother and apologise for being bad.

I saw the film yesterday. Excellent, I love how they mess with The Rings story, it's a brilliant must-see film, just as good as Scary movie 1 and 2, Plus - Cindy's blonde! :O (Shes also in Friends now)
Matthew Campbell on January 25th, 2004
Scary Movie 3 is definitely the best of the 3! It has original jokes and takes the mick out of a whole new load of movies and people. The film is mainly based around Rings but with a twist when the Aliens are on the good side. I have not seen any of the Matrix films or The Ring but I understood all of the jokes. I recommend it 9/10

To the people who say that the Scary Movie collection of series is pathetic, it may well be true that they're not actually teenagers. By far this is aimed at the more 16 year old than a 40 year old business executive. Although the plot was absolutely diabolical in the first movie - it's mainly about the gags and mick-takes, it's also good to see the age limit moved down to a younger audience who are the people who are most likely to see it. This is by far not worth an award, more of a movie where you go to watch it - have a laugh and then go and get a pizza. Also I recommend waiting for it to hit video for a rental - this is not a good movie to spend money on in the cinemas. Nevertheless, it's funny - and that's what it's meant to be.
Kris on January 25th, 2004
I thought the film was good, but some bits that were 'meant' to be funny weren't. Good film though. If you've seen the first two, you've got to see this one... 8/10

I think that scary movie 3 was the best movie of the trilogy becuase even though it is called scary movie it makes fun of other genres - there was a major downside to this film and that was the disappearance of the wayans brothers.

I haven't laughed so hard in years; if you like bad taste humour and liked any of the airplane/naked gun movies you will love this.
gb155 on January 24th, 2004
It's poor. Sorry but there must be about 15 decent jokes and that equates to about 5 mins of humor. The rest is painful, way too painful (but the funny bits ARE FUNNY). I wanted this to be a smash as I loved the first two but alas it's trash...
Riccardo on January 23rd, 2004
I thought it was hilarious. However it does help to be slightly drunk before you see it. Say 3 glasses of red wine should do it! The digs at the films are so blatant, that's what makes the film ridiculously funny! Wish I could spell!
aok_roolz on January 23rd, 2004
This is a comic interpretation of many different films, for example: it has a funny michael Jackson scene where he is dangled out of a window and "how do you like it now?!" uttered by the main characters. There is a wonderful scene where a priest is asked to babysit for anna faris' son, he is actually a paedophile (relating to the scandals about priests etc.) Brilliant, go and see it : 8/10

Scary Movie 3 is one of the worst films I have seen in the last ten years. The humour even surpasses that of the first two movies, I have had more laughs at a funeral. It is basic childish humour that even children would not find that particularly funny. This is definately one to miss, the acting is diabolical, the plot is pathetic to say the least, and the ‘jokes’ are anything but funny. Make sure you stay well away from this one; it is a complete waste of money.
