Went with an open mind and was bored completely...not a spot on 'Oh Brother'...Simple gags pushed too far until just sad. 4/10

Brilliantly funny film after a slow start, although you wouldn't have guessed it from the trailer. Tom Hanks is hysterical as GHD III, PH D. 7/10

Do not bother going to see this utter waste of a film! The original is much better in every single way, this is supposed to be a comedy yet it barely raises a smile. If you want to see a good film then get a copy of the original because this one is pure and simply a complete and utter rip-off. 2/10 - Not a patch on the original, it is boring and tedious, and that's being kind.

Went along to the free preview and enjoyed the film. The Coens take the elements of the original film but twist them- the old frail lady in the ealing's original is now a god fearing strong character- however it works. The film starts disjointed but soon evens out and Hanks' performance is on the whole great. I especially liked the character Gawain MacSam. Although on first appearences it looks like the Coens have lost their dark humour (in comparison to fargo), it can still be found in the numerous references to edgar allen poe and the gags about the right wing bob jones university. Fantastic ending too. Also watch the credits as there are some subtle jokes hidden. 7/10

I've never seen the first one and didn't know what to expect from this edition but I was pleasantly suprised. There is a good element of comedy and a suprising ending (for those who have not seen the original). 7/10

Corking. Coen Brothers are back on form. The first ten minutes are as iffy as hell, but once it settles into its stride, Hanks is endearingly cringemaking, the characters are well drawn and the ending is poetic without being contrived. And it's laugh outloud funny.

Surprisingly good - the ending is pretty much spot on. It wonders a bit near the beginning, and some parts are uneven - but all in all, there's some good laughs, and it's quite sweet in it's own way. 8/10.
