From the tender age of ten Mancunian actor William Ash has been thesping in TV and theatre, appearing in popular shows like Heartbeat, Soldier Soldier and Doctor Who. Finally, after twenty years in the biz, Hush marks his big screen leading man debut. He plays a frustrated writer who gets caught up in a night-time game of cat and mouse when his girlfriend is kidnapped on the M1. The 32-year-old talks to DS about the adventure of working with first-time director Mark Tonderai, the natural rapport he had with co-star Christine Bottomely and how working nights nearly drove him around the bend.
