Spider-Man star Tobey Maguire has revealed that he has a fear of heights.

The actor admitted that suffering from vertigo made filming certain scenes in the record-breaking movie series difficult.

He said: "Standing on the edge of a building, looking over the edge - it's so horrible. I hate it."

Spider-Man 2 opens in the UK next Friday, July 16.
