Rapper P Diddy has launched a bid to become the first black James Bond.

The music mogul, previously known as Puff Daddy, said that "the world is ready" for a black 007, adding that he would be perfect for the role.

His comments come as producers are deciding on a replacement for Pierce Brosnan. Contenders include Colin Farrell, Jude Law, Clive Owen and Hugh Jackman.
