X2 star Brian Cox has been cast as the voice of Aslan the Lion, in the live action version of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch And The Wardrobe.

Producer Mark Johnson explained, "Brian has an amazing resonance to his voice, a certain majesty, which suits Aslan perfectly."

The movie also stars Dawn French, Rupert Everett, Ray Winstone, Tilda Swinton, and Jim Broadbent. Filming is currently taking place in New Zealand.
