The 40-Year-Old Virgin remained on top at the US box office for the second consecutive weekend, according to preliminary studio estimates.

The film took in $16.4m, causing The Brothers Grimm to make its debut in second place with $15.1m. Paul Dergarabedian of Exhibitor Relations characterised that as "a respectable opening."
