'Da Vinci Code' cracks US box office

Ron Howard's The Da Vinci Code was the most successful movie at the US box office last weekend, taking $77.1m.

Despite garnering predominantly negative reviews from critics, the film grossed twice as much as its closest competitor, Over the Hedge, which earned $38.5m over the three days.

M:i:III, Poseidon and R.V. each moved down a place to round out the top five.
