Eli Roth and Quentin Tarantino have begun planning Hostel 2, capitalising on the success of this year's sadistic thriller.

The original told the story of a group of students who are lured into a horrific hostel which turns out to be far from idyllic. The next film will widen the scope, showing that the establishment is not the only one of its kind.

"It's all part of the organization; they've got the whole thing set up all over the place, and they have different scouts," writer/director Roth told MTV. "We're going to learn a lot more about how it all works. In Hostel 2, you're really going to see the ins and outs of the whole organization and how they get people and kill them."

In a development suggested by producer Tarantino, the victims will this time be three girls. "They're studying in Italy for the summer," the director continued, "and they get lured, and they go back to ... well, we're going to go back to a lot of familiar places."

Roth also revealed that Paxton (Jay Hernandez) will make a return, with the story picking up from the moment the first film ended.
