Jessica Alba will star in a new comedy, alongside comedian Dane Cook.

Good Luck Chuck is about a serial dater, played by Cook, who gains a reputation for pushing women towards their soulmates inadvertently. Alba will try to stop his unlucky streak.

X-Men editor Mark Helfrich will call the shots from behind the camera, and filming is due to commence next month.
