Supernatural thriller The Covenant made it to the top of the US box office chart over the weekend, with Hollywoodland followed in second place.

The Convenant took $9.0m over its first three days, whilst the Adrien Brody detective movie walked away with $6.0m.

The previous week's chart-topper, Invincible, slipped to third. Tom Yum Goong and Crank completed the top five.
