'Rocky Balboa' premieres in London

Chanting crowds welcomed Sylvester Stallone in London's West End, as Rocky Balboa made its UK premiere.

According to the BBC, hundreds of fans called out the character's name as the 60-year-old actor arrived to the film's theme music.

He thanked fans for turning up and commented: "What is really shocking is that they are so young."

The premiere saw the likes of Lisa Snowdon, Frank Skinner and Jennifer Elison turn up, along with young boxing star Amir Khan.

Stallone reportedly put in months of training in order to be fit for the role, and racked up a series of injuries in the process, including a damaged neck and a broken foot.

The film will hit cinemas on Friday.
