Rex Features

Luke Goss will play the lead role in the film version of Namco's best-selling video game Tekken.

Goss' official site reports that the actor will play Steve Fox, a British boxer with no memory of his past, in the martial arts action movie.

Tekken's story is set in the near future where a freedom fighter rises up against the Tekken Corporation to save his people.

Former 24 and Prison Break helmer Dwight Little will direct the film.

Goss shot to fame in the '80s as one half of boyband Bros, but later moved into acting with roles in Blade II and the upcoming Hellboy II: The Golden Army.
