Carrey, Reitman team up for 'Pierre Pierre'

Jim Carrey has signed to star in new comedy Pierre Pierre.

The Fox Atomic film will be directed by Jason Reitman, who was nominated for an Oscar for his work on Juno.

It is based on Edwin Cannistraci and Frederick Seton's script about a self-indulgent French nihilist (Carrey) who takes a stolen Mona Lisa painting from Paris to London.

The movie is thought to have a budget of just $13 million, reports Variety.

Reitman is currently producing comedy-horror Jennifer's Body from a script by Juno writer Diablo Cody.
