Paul Schneider and Kerry Fox have joined the cast of Jane Campion’s upcoming movie about John Keats.
Bright Star tells the story of the English poet's romance with his next-door neighbour, which ended when he died at the age of 25.
Ben Whishaw will play Keats, with Australian actress Abbie Cornish playing lover Fanny Brawne.
Schneider and Fox will be Keats’s best friend and Fanny’s mother respectively, reports Variety.
Schneider's previous credits include The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford and Lars and the Real Girl, while Fox is best known for her role in Shallow Grave.
Campion won a Best Screenplay Oscar for 1993 film The Piano, which she also directed.
