Thurman regrets turning down 'Rings' role

Uma Thurman has admitted that turning down a role in the Lord of the Rings trilogy is one of her biggest regrets.

The actress could not join the Rings movies because she had just given birth to her daughter Maya-Ray when she was asked to take part.

"Yeah, I was asked. I wish I had done it," Uma revealed. "I had a small child at the time, and I couldn't go away for a year. I was just too attached to home.

"It just caught me at the wrong moment. Oh, I truly wish I could've been able to take that plunge, and maybe I should have, but I just couldn't at the time."

Thurman's latest movie, titled The Life Before Her Eyes, has just been released in the United States.
