Sarandon would "jump" at 'Racer' sequel

Susan Sarandon has claimed that she would jump at the chance to work on a Speed Racer sequel.

The actress revealed that the cast were all signed up for a second movie if the directors Larry and Andy Wachowski decided to go ahead with the project.

"You have to say before you do it, that you will be interested in a sequel, so we're all signed up," she told DS.

"If they want us, we're obligated. Would I be interested? Yeah I'm sure, if they come up with a story.

"They've told us little bits of possibilities and if they decide to do it I think everyone would jump at the chance to get together again."

Producer Joel Silver admitted there would be a follow-up movie in the pipeline as long as the public enjoyed the first film.

He said: "I'd love to make a sequel. We have a good idea for a story, we'd love to make another one, but we have to wait and see if people like it.

"If they want us to do that, then we'll be happy to comply."
