Hill in talks for '21 Jump Street' film

Jonah Hill is in talks to write and executive produce a film version of '80s TV show 21 Jump Street, Entertainment Weekly reports.

Running for five seasons on Fox, 21 Jump Street focused on young police officers whose youthful looks allowed them to go undercover in high schools and colleges.

It is not yet known if Hill, currently starring in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, will appear in the film. The actor recently dropped out of negotiations to star in the Transformers sequel.

Neal Moritz (I Am Legend) and original series co-creator Stephen J. Cannell will produce 21 Jump Street.
