Cruise in line for Noyce thriller

Tom Cruise is in talks to star in upcoming thriller 28th Amendment.

Phillip Noyce will direct the Warner Bros movie from a script by Transformers writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, reports Moviehole.

Cruise would play US president Ben Cahill, who discovers that a secret committee has controlled the US government since World War II.

The group, led by Denzel Washington, is willing to assassinate any president who threatens its existence and Cahill soon finds himself fighting to survive.
