A live-action adaptation of Beavis And Butt-head could be on the cards.

Creator Mike Judge said he is open to the possibility of bringing the animated TV show to the big screen.

He told MTV: "For some reason, I used to hate the idea for years. Now, I think maybe there's something there."

He revealed that Johnny Depp had expressed an interest in starring in a film version during the '90s, saying: "He was doing that [Don Juan DeMarco] movie with Marlon Brando, and he said Marlon Brando used to imitate Butt-Head, and he would do Beavis."

The series ran on MTV between 1993 and 1997.

Judge, who also created King of the Hill, will next direct Jason Bateman comedy Extract.
