World War II miniseries The Pacific, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg's eagerly-awaited Band Of Brothers follow-up, is fast approaching, with HBO premiering the show in the US next month before the much-discussed Sky Movies UK debut this Easter.

While it might technically be a small screen production, At The Movies has seen the first two eps of the $200 million-budgeted war drama and it's TV on an epic scale - a widescreen, brutal and touching account of US Marines thrown into combat against Japan's military might.

Click 'play' below to see our exclusive video of stars Joe Mazzello (Eugene Sledge), James Badge Dale (Robert Leckie) and Jon Seda (John Basilone) talking about The Pacific.

DON'T buy into the latest anachronistic WWII Hollywood set-up. FACT IS ---having made BILLIONS upon BILLIONS catering tomt he franchise slum denial needs of history's --MOST-- awesomely genocidal regime ---ACROSS the Pacific ---Hollywood is as good as pitching cover for them with their beside the point ---PC WWII retreads. ESP. galling as millions continue to suffer and die on this, the once again 'mysteriously overlooked' 60th Anniversary of the epically, urgently relevant ---indeed, STILL unfolding ---KOREAN WAR... AMEN

"You're going to see war the way it really is." Of course, WWI wasn't in HD.

OMG, it's in widescreen like a Real Movie! Also like most/all TV drama for the past decade or so.
