When's it out: July 16 in the UK and US.
Who's in it: Leonardo DiCaprio is Dom Cobb, the figure at the centre of the tale, while impressive support arrives in the form of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Marion Cotillard, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy and Nolan's dependable Batman butler Michael Caine.
What's it about: Erm… we're not certain! The trailers have been a bit vague and teasery and Nolan has gone to great lengths to keep up the cloak and dagger act. The shards of plot details that have come out, though, put DiCaprio's Cobb as an agent who enters the minds of tycoons, swipes valuable info then sells it to the highest bidder. So it's basically a corporate espionage heist flick where the hot commodity is knowledge. Expect Ken Watanabe's CEO Saito to offer some sinister opposition to Cobb and his team of agents.
At The Movies verdict: We're definitely onboard. Each of Nolan's films, even going all the way back to the minuscule-budgeted Following, have offered movie fans something unique and entertaining. Expectations are bound to be sky-high after his superhero successes, and the switch to science fiction could re-energise the filmmaker's creative juices. The trailer promises some stunning visuals, with the shot of the streets of Paris folding back in on themselves and the tilting corridors being particularly mind-blowing. Expect the tone to be very serious, though. Nolan and Leo don't do laughs!
