A teaser pic for the 'Avatar' re-release

Big news today, Avatar fans - James Cameron's mega-expensive, record-breaking epic will be returning to 3D cinemas and IMAX screens on August 27 with eight minutes of additional footage.

According to JC, the re-release will include new action sequences and creatures that weren't seen in the theatrical cut. Here's a teaser pic for Avatar: Special Edition...
