David Byrne talks tunes and tutus

When he strutted out on stage with a boombox at the start of Stop Making Sense in 1984, David Byrne may not have guessed that he was about to kick off the best live concert film ever. Over a quarter of a century on, he brings some of that magic back to the movies with Hillman Curtis's part-live/part-documentary Ride, Rise, Roar - which chronicles his dancetastic 'Songs of David Byrne and Brian Eno' tour. Click 'play' below to watch David talk about music, visuals, and just why he decided to don a tutu for his performance of classic Talking Heads number 'Burning Down The House'.
On Thursday January 20 at 8.45pm, for one night only, the David Byrne concert film Ride, Rise, Roar will premiere in more than 50 UK cinema screens, followed by an exclusive Live Q&A event at the Ritzy Brixton in London with David Byrne, which will be broadcast live across the UK via satellite.
