'X-Men: First Class' - new poster
Published Wednesday, May 4 2011, 14:26 BST | By Simon Reynolds | 2 comments
A new poster for superhero prequel X-Men: First Class has been released by 20th Century Fox. The image sees the comic book heroes' Blackbird jet soaring overhead to dodge a missile attack.
The movie, starring James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and January Jones, takes place in the '60s during the height of the Cold War. This latest X-Men poster nicely teases that period setting, as director Matthew Vaughn and producer Bryan Singer tie the action to the Cuban Missile Crisis.
X-Men: First Class opens in UK cinemas on June 1 and the US on June 3.
