'X-Men: First Class': Ten teasers about the Marvel prequel

The X-Men series got off to a blistering start with Bryan Singer's excellent pair of movies, but enthusiasm for the franchise has waned somewhat after The Last Stand and Hugh Jackman's Wolverine spinoff. Singer has returned to the X-Men world as a producer and brought along Kick-Ass's Matthew Vaughn to direct First Class, a '60s-set prequel delving into the mutants' early years that signifies a big return to form for the superhero saga. Check out our ten teasers for X-Men: First Class below:

1. First Class opens with a recreation of the concentration camp scene that kicked off Bryan Singer's 2000 X-Men movie.

2. There's a strong James Bond vibe running throughout the movie, from covert Cold War CIA shenanigans to globe-trotting across England, the US, Argentina, Switzerland and Russia. Also, Michael Fassbender should be the next 007!

3. 214782.

4. Charles Xavier and Erik Lehnsherr take each other on in a game of chess. Twice.

5. We get to see early incarnations of Cerebro and the Blackbird jet.

6. "Are you sure we can't shave your head?" "Don't touch my hair!"

7. Kevin Bacon's baddie Sebastian Shaw is able to pull one of Xavier's young mutants over to his side.

8. History buffs will get an extra kick out of First Class - the Cuban Missile Crisis plays an integral part in the plot.

9. Keep your eyes peeled for two great cameos from stars of the previous X-Men movies.

10. Stay in your seat when the movie finishes for some very snazzy, Saul Bass-inspired retro end credits.
