Gordon Ramsay makes a bid for acting stardom later this month when he appears in British romantic comedy Love's Kitchen, once titled No Ordinary Trifle. Yes, really.
The movie centres on a London chef (Dougray Scott) who, following the death of his wife, heads to the country to turn a small pub into a gourmet restaurant.
In what is quite possibly the worst film of the year, Ramsay - playing himself in a sort of Cantona/Looking for Eric-style inspirational role - provides the catalyst for the story as he urges Scott's Rob Haley to put his life back together. Adding some romance to the mix is Claire Forlani as food critic Kate Templeton. Michelle Ryan, Simon Callow and Cherie Lunghi co-star in Love's Kitchen.
Love's Kitchen will be released in UK cinemas on June 24 and is scheduled to go straight-to-DVD (derrr!) in the US on June 7.
