The movie stars James Franco as Will Rodman, a genetic scientist who is testing on apes to find a cure for Alzheimer's. One of the test subjects, Caesar, shows human-like intelligence and soon leads an ape revolution against humanity.
The likes of Freida Pinto, John Lithgow and Tom Felton also feature in the film, while Andy Serkis plays Caesar using motion-capture technology.
