Below, we list the biggest DVD and Blu-ray releases out in stores right now.
Arthur
Starring: Russell Brand, Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Greta Gerwig
Format: BD, DVD
The movie: Russell Brand leads in this remake of the 1981 Dudley Moore classic, playing the titular playboy Arthur Bachs. Arthur is told that he must marry Susan (Jennifer Garner) - otherwise, he will be cut off from his $950 million inheritance. Things are made complicated when he starts to fall for Naomi (Greenberg's Greta Gerwig). Like with a lot of remakes, Arthur doesn't quite live up to the original, but Gerwig is charming and the eccentric Brand is largely entertaining. Helen Mirren also stars as his nanny Hobson, a role that earned John Gielgud a prestigious Oscar win three decades ago.
Bonus features: 'Arthur Unsupervised' featurette; gag reel; deleted scenes.

Attack the Block
Starring: Jodie Whittaker, John Boyega, Alex Esmail, Nick Frost
Format: BD, DVD
The movie: Don't let the urbanism put you off, as Attack the Block is one of the finest movies all year with a superb mix of horror and comedy. The film follows a gang who are fighting for their lives against alien invaders in South London. But instead of running away like most generic horror flicks, these lads start off by trying to take matters into their own hands, arming themselves and seeking these critters out. Helped by solid direction from Joe Cornish, all of the inexperienced actors are great and bring genuine personality to their characters, while Nick Frost shines in his comic relief role as a cowardly drug dealer.
Bonus features: 'Junior' commentary with Joe Cornish, John Boyega, Alex Esmail, Franz Drameh, Simon Howard and Leeon Jones; 'senior' commentary with Joe Cornish, Jodie Whittaker, Luke Treadaway and Nick Frost; 'Behind the Block', 'Creature Feature', 'Meet the Gang', 'Joe's Massage' and 'It's a Rap' featurettes; unfilmed action; trailers.

Tomorrow, When the War Began
Starring: Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood, Lincoln Lewis, Deniz Akdeniz
Format: BD, DVD
The movie: Based on John Marsden's novel of the same name, Tomorrow, When the War Began is a well-produced Australian adventure film starring Caitlin Stasey, Rachel Hurd-Wood and Lincoln Lewis - among many others - as a group of unlikely teenagers who initiate a guerilla war against their country's foreign invaders. Ignoring the occasionally weak script, Tomorrow is a slick and engrossing movie with some enjoyably tense set-pieces to boot.
Bonus features: Commentary with producers Andrew Mason and Michael Boughen; commentary with writer and director Stuart Beattie; making-of, behind the scenes and characters featurettes; 'How to Blow Up a Bridge' and 'VFX Breakdowns' featurettes; alternate endings; John Marsden interview.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2: Rodrick Rules
Starring: Zachary Gordon, Devon Bostick, Robert Capron, Rachael Harris
Format: BD, DVD
The movie: Zachary Gordon returns in the sequel to Diary of a Wimpy Kid as Greg Heffley, a young lad who has a difficult relationship with his older brother Rodrick (Devon Bostick). His parents realise this and try to remedy the problem by providing incentives (money) for them to bond. Naturally, the story beats are what you'd expect from a film like this - everything goes swimmingly well until they fall out in a massive way - but Rodrick Rules is a commendable sequel that will likely appease fans of the first Diary of a Wimpy Kid. A third film, Dog Days, is currently in production and is expected to be released in cinemas next year.
Bonus features: Featurettes including 'My Summer Vacation', 'My Zoo-Wee Vacation!' and 'My Magick Summer'; gag reel.
