Poll: Christina Hendricks as Wonder Woman - is she the right choice for DC Comics' superheroine?

If you're a fan of comic books and superhero blockbusters, no doubt you'll have heard the talk about Christina Hendricks playing DC Comics' number one heroine Wonder Woman.

Danish filmmaker Nicolas Winding Refn, who directed Hendricks in upcoming thriller Drive, is leading the charge for the Man Men bombshell to wear the tiara and lasso once owned by Linda Carter.

Refn, who is hoping his Logan's Run remake at Warner Bros convinces the studio to give him Wonder Woman, is not the only director who fancied Hendricks for the part. The actress's Firefly pal Joss Whedon also had her on his shortlist when he was attached to make a Wonder Woman movie.

"I grew up on the TV show, and I had Wonder Woman Underoos, and my brother had a Wonder Woman doll - sorry, Aaron, you're exposed," Hendricks quipped when asked about the role recently.
