'Senna' still
This week's home releases include a couple of films which were triumphant at the 2002 Academy Awards ceremony on Blu-ray and a moving and must-see documentary on a special Formula One driver.

Below, we list the biggest Blu-ray and DVD releases out today.

Senna
Starring: Ayrton Senna, Alain Prost, Frank Williams, Ron Dennis
Format: BD, DVD
The movie: Sebastian Vettel may have secured his second Formula One World Drivers' Championship, but he still has a long, long way to go before he can be compared to the Brazilian legend Ayrton Senna. Senna - aided by interviews, home videos and archive footage - is a truly exceptional documentary about the revered driver, detailing his journey from his go-karting days to the tragic and devastating 1994 San Marino Grand Prix where he lost his life. His heated rivalry with Alain Prost is also extensively covered, but truth be told, you don't even need to be well-versed in the F1 world to appreciate this film.
Bonus features: Commentary with the director and filmmakers; 'The Greatest Victory of All' featurette; 'lost' radio interview with Gerald Donaldson; various interviews; home videos; Brazil, Japan and international trailers.

The Green Hornet
Starring: Seth Rogen, Jay Chou, Christoph Waltz, Cameron Diaz
Format: BD 3D, DVD
The movie: Seth Rogen is Britt Reid aka the Green Hornet in this superhero movie, who teams up with Kato (Jay Chou) after the death of his father to form a masked crime-fighting duo. Getting a little cocky, they aim to take down Russian mobster Benjamin Chudnofsky (Inglourious Basterds's Christoph Waltz), while secretary Lenore Case (Cameron Diaz) acts as a love interest to both Britt and Kato. The Green Hornet is rather aimless at times and the inconsistent humour ranges from hilarious to embarrassingly bad, but Chou and Waltz are plenty of fun to watch in their roles, and there's an awesome early cameo from James Franco.

Chicago
Starring: Renée Zellweger, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Richard Gere, Queen Latifah
Format: BD
The movie: Based on the musical of the same name, Chicago follows aspiring vaudevillian Roxie Hart (Renée Zellweger) and showgirl Velma Kelly (Catherine Zeta-Jones) as they await their trials for separate murders. The rivals want two things - to be exonerated for the crimes they committed and to be an adored celebrity - so both hire the manipulative Billy Flynn (Richard Gere) as their lawyer to help achieve their goals. Taking a massive haul of six Oscars in 2002 including 'Best Picture', this musical flick is great fun with wonderful costumes and sets and some terrific tunes.

The Hours
Starring: Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Nicole Kidman, Ed Harris
Format: BD
The movie: Three top-class actresses in Meryl Street, Julianne Moore and Nicole Kidman star in this fairly depressing but quality movie as women who are interconnected by the Virginia Woolf novel Mrs Dalloway. Kidman plays a depressed Woolf in 1923. In 1951, Laura Brown (Moore) is a deeply unhappy housewife, while in 2001, Clarissa Vaughan (Streep) is planning a party for her AIDS-suffering friend Richard (Ed Harris). The Hours, an Oscar-winning film thanks to Kidman's excellent turn as the famous author (edging out Zellweger in Chicago), is a worthy addition to anyone's Blu-ray collection if what you're looking for is an emotional and touching film.
