Michael Fassbender's mesmerising new drama Shame sees him play a New Yorker whose life is turned on its head when his wayward sister (Carey Mulligan) comes to stay.
With his life dictated by a crippling sex addiction, Fassbender's Brandon is always on the lookout for his next fix. In Shame's opening moments, director Steve McQueen films a tense subway encounter between his lead character and Lucy Walters' mysterious married woman.
