'The Avengers' Super Bowl trailer: 10 Best Bits

Marvel's The Avengers TV spot emerged as the stand-out movie trailer from last night's Super Bowl XLVI showdown. Epic action sat alongside zippy Joss Whedon quips as the likes of Captain America (Chris Evans), Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr) came together to fend off Loki and his mysterious invading army.
Digital Spy picks out the 10 best bits from the trailer below.
1. Mayhem hits the streets of America as a spacecraft blasts away at bystanders.
2. Captain America's shield makes its first appearance.
3. Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow leaps into action.
4. Here's the alien enemy the Avengers must take down to save the planet.
5. A big exploding money shot! Thor, Captain America and Black Widow take cover.
6. Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye fires an arrow... while simultaneously falling hundreds of feet!
7. Captain America dodges smoke, fire and a giant blue laser beam.
8. The camera spins around to get a first glimpse of all the superheroes assembled. Epic!
9. Iron Man soars skywards to confront the alien craft.
10. "I have an army," says Tom Hiddleston's Loki. "We have a Hulk!" Stark replies.
