Best & Worst TV to movie remakes: Firefly, Inbetweeners, SATC, more

The Sweeney is the latest popular TV property to make the leap from the small to the big screen, arriving in the UK today (September 12) with Ray Winstone and Ben Drew stepping into the roles of tough-guy detectives Regan and Carter.

With that in mind, Digital Spy has trawled through the celluloid archives to pick out the best and worst of TV to movie screen adaptations. From thrilling action flicks like Mission: Impossible and The Fugitive to cringe-worthy comedies like Kevin & Perry Go Large and Sex and the City 2, there's plenty of examples of hits and misses when it comes to making a movie out of your favourite TV show.
