His story of two teenage girls being terrorised by a gang of escaped convicts was banned for over 30 years in the UK and Australia, classified as a "video nasty" for many years in the former territory, and remains highly controversial – lead actress Sandra Peabody reportedly spent the shoot in a genuine state of terror.
