Ordinary People (1980)
While it's technically only half a teen movie, Robert Redford's domestic drama pivots on Timothy Hutton's broken adolescent, as he struggles to deal both with the recent death of his brother and his strained dynamic with his parents in the aftermath. Elizabeth McGovern and Dinah Manoff lend strong teen support as his love interest and fellow ex-psych inmate respectively.
