Summary: Set hundreds of years after the events of the 1982's The Dark Crystal, the sequel will focus on a girl made of fire who steals a shard of crystal in order to reignite the fading sun.

Director Tartakovsky (Dexter's Laboratory, Star Wars: The Clone Wars) will take care of the CGI to work alongside the puppetry though his Orphanage Animation Studios.
