Summary: Based on the ABC TV series which ran from 1975 to 1979 and starred Gabe Kaplan as a teacher who returns to his tough old neighbourhood in Brooklyn where he finds a new generation of underprivileged unmotivated inner city kids. The story was based on Kaplan's own experiences as a remedial student in the city.
